I have an HP 8710 installed using the "hp-setup" command provided by hplip. Their URIs were (obtained via hp-check) Type: Fax Device URI: hpfax:/net/HP_OfficeJet_Pro_8710?hostname=hp and Type: Printer Device URI: hp:/net/HP_OfficeJet_Pro_8710?hostname=hp Note that I have the host "hp" defined in my DNS. These entries are also in my /etc/cups/printers.conf I would consider checking the cups interface "http://localhost:631" for any printer definitions. If they exist, delete them. And then run "hp-setup" as root to add them back. Also, I have found that auto-discovery is not very good and I would advise checking the "manual" discover box and entering in the IP address or name if you have it defined. -- Right: I dislike the default color scheme Wrong: What idiot picked the default color scheme _______________________________________________ users mailing list -- users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to users-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://getfedora.org/code-of-conduct.html List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
