I agree. Convoluted.

	1. Browse http://localhost:631
	2. Click on the "Administration" tab
	3. Click on the "Manage Printers" button under "Printers"
	4. Click on the printer you're interested in
	5. Click on the "Administration" dropdown menu in that menu
	6. The "Delete Printer" option there (3rd item down for me)

1 -> 2 -> 3 -> 4 so far so good.
5 -> tried it but no menu appeared so 6 not possible.

Permissions problem? Maybe you don't see an Administrator tab anymore
when trying to access it as non-root?

I don't run printers anymore, so take my notes with the necessary
grain of salt - but around ten years ago admin rights were crucial
when running CUPS, IIRC.

Here's an old page of mine from 2009 that seemed to help me admin
printers on Debian, and without having to enter some password a
million times - so the important part was, IINM, /etc/cups/cupsd.conf:

Good luck!
