Hello,

I made some tests, but it is strange to me.
dparm -Y /dev/sdb

/dev/sdb:
 issuing sleep command

then

hdparm -C /dev/sdb

/dev/sdb:
 drive state is:  active/idle

but sometimes:

hdparm -C /dev/sdb

/dev/sdb:
 drive state is:  standby

It seems that the drive does not stay standby

 hdparm -B /dev/sdb

/dev/sdb:
 APM_level	= 254

smartctl -P show --nocheck=standby /dev/sdb
smartctl 6.6 2017-11-05 r4594 [x86_64-linux-4.18.12-200.fc28.x86_64] (local build)
