I've often thought that must get a lot of people. This is a new
motherboard and the battery should not be a problem, but I will consider
that if it recurs. We never know how long that battery has been powering
the RAM un-powered on Newegg's shelf. I don't remember pulling any
plastic insulator off it when I installed it a few months ago? I always
have a spare battery ...
