F28 Workstation fresh installation on HP Elitebook 8540w Laptop: internal keyboard does not work

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I just installed Fedora 28 Workstation on my HP EliteBook 8540w laptop and it seems to work fine except the fact that the Laptop's Keyboard seems to be inactive (deactivated/disabled?). External keyboard works just fine.
The problem occured at the first boot (Gnome initial setup). I had to use an rxternal keyboard to finish the setup. Checked the settings. Didn't find something to lead me to a solution or an explanation.

I wonder if anyone has encountered that or has any idea where to look for a solution.

(the HW is OK: all other OSes, including Fedora 27 have no issue with the keyboard)
