I hadn't realized the command had changed. Many thanks! I went ahead and tried "dnf remove speech-dispatcher" -- and got close to a hundred other applications it would take with it! That included a couple that I sometimes use; so I didn't remove it. That brings up another question I've been wondering about, but since it's much broader, I'll make a new thread of it.
