This tutorial is showing the color palette and the status bar.
The status bar is displaying current fill/stroke colors on the left of the status bar.
The color palette allow fast/repetitive color selection.

see View->Show/Hide, select Palette, select Status Bar

This tutorila does not show the Stroke Style tab usage
(which is the third tab after Style, and Stroke Tab,
which is needed to select both left and right arrows using markers line.
