To determine if it's a Wayland problem, use the Xorg server instead.
When you click on your name to login, before you enter your password,
click on the little gear icon and choose the "Gnome on Xorg" session.
Is there a proprietary AMD/ATI driver for a Radeon HD5770? I believe
the one that's shipped with fedora is called nouveau?
Nouveau is the open-source reverse-engineered driver for NVidia cards,
not AMD.
My understanding is that a while back AMD dropped their proprietary
driver in favour of the open-source one.
Since the card is a few years old, there isn't much current
information on which alternative driver can be used with this card.
Any ideas greatly appreciated.
There are no alternative drivers. If there is a problem, file a bug
report in bugzilla.
