Hi, I'm a long-time Linux user and admin, but I don't have much experience with the newest version of the display server (wayland, right?). I have a fedora27 desktop and having some display problems with my HD HomeRun tuner and believe it may be related to the video driver - video dropout, primarily. Is there a proprietary AMD/ATI driver for a Radeon HD5770? I believe the one that's shipped with fedora is called nouveau? Since the card is a few years old, there isn't much current information on which alternative driver can be used with this card. Any ideas greatly appreciated. Here is my current list of xorg packages. Please let me know what other information I can provide to help troubleshoot this. # rpm -qva|grep xorg xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.19.6-1.fc27.x86_64 xorg-x11-server-debuginfo-1.19.5-1.fc27.x86_64 xorg-x11-drv-qxl-0.1.5-5.fc27.x86_64 abrt-addon-xorg-2.10.5-1.fc27.x86_64 xorg-x11-apps-7.7-18.fc27.x86_64 xorg-x11-drv-openchrome-0.6.0-3.fc27.x86_64 xorg-x11-drv-nouveau-1.0.15-3.fc27.x86_64 xorg-x11-xbitmaps-1.1.1-11.fc27.noarch xorg-x11-drv-evdev-2.10.5-4.fc27.x86_64 xorg-x11-server-debugsource-1.19.5-1.fc27.x86_64 xorg-x11-server-common-1.19.6-1.fc27.x86_64 xorg-x11-fonts-misc-7.5-18.fc27.noarch xorg-x11-proto-devel-7.7-23.fc27.noarch xorg-x11-xauth-1.0.9-9.fc27.x86_64 xorg-x11-drv-vmware-13.2.1-4.fc27.x86_64 xorg-x11-xkb-utils-7.7-21.fc27.x86_64 xorg-x11-server-Xwayland-1.19.6-1.fc27.x86_64 xorg-x11-xinit-1.3.4-16.fc27.x86_64 xorg-x11-drv-ati-7.9.0-3.fc27.x86_64 xorg-x11-server-Xwayland-debuginfo-1.19.5-1.fc27.x86_64 xorg-x11-drv-vesa-2.3.2-28.fc27.x86_64 xorg-x11-font-utils-7.5-35.fc27.x86_64 xorg-x11-drv-intel-2.99.917-31.20171025.fc27.x86_64 xorg-x11-drv-libinput-0.26.0-1.fc27.x86_64 xorg-x11-drv-wacom-0.35.0-3.fc27.x86_64 xorg-x11-fonts-Type1-7.5-18.fc27.noarch xorg-x11-drv-fbdev-0.4.3-28.fc27.x86_64 xorg-x11-server-utils-7.7-23.fc27.x86_64 xorg-x11-utils-7.5-25.fc27.x86_64 _______________________________________________ users mailing list -- users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to users-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
