Using another machine, I went to:

I downloaded the

b43-fwcutter-019-10.fc27.x86_64.rpm

but it does not contain the firmware.

The broadcom website https://wireless.wiki.kernel.org/en/users/drivers/brcm80211
claims to support bcm4322X (where X is 4, 5, 7 ....etc).

And from URL
https://kernel.googlesource.com/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/firmware/linux-firmware.git/+/7f93c9deb484c0a8f4cf59780e77dc7b0c14abe3

I downloaded
brcm/brcmfmac4373-sdio.bin
brcm/brcmfmac4373.bin

so I guess, I have to put those firmware files in /lib/firmware.

But I am just not sure if this will let the OS find my wifi.

If anyone has this legacy broadcom wifi chip (BCM4322) and got it running,
please help.

Description:
This package contains the license, README.txt and configuration
files for the Broadcom 802.11 Linux STA Driver for WiFi, a Linux
device driver for use with Broadcom's BCM4311-, BCM4312-, BCM4313-,
BCM4321-, BCM4322-, BCM43142-, BCM43224-, BCM43225-, BCM43227-,
BCM43228-, BCM4331-, BCM4360 and -BCM4352- based hardware.

Hi Ed and Francis,
I did download the rpm from the link you provided.
It 's name is: broadcom0wl-6.30.223.271-3.fc27.noarch.rpm

Using dnf -y install broadcom0wl-6.30.223.271-3.fc27.noarch.rpm
I get the error message:
Error: Failed to synchronize cache for repo 'updates'

So, I tried to resorth to rpm -ivh:

rpm -ivh broadcom0wl-6.30.223.271-3.fc27.noarch.rpm
and the error I get:
error: broadcom0wl-6.30.223.271-3.fc27.noarch.rpm: not an rpm package (or package manifest):

So, on the fc20 machine (where I performed the download):

$ file broadcom-wl-6.30.223.271-3.fc27.noarch.rpm
broadcom-wl-6.30.223.271-3.fc27.noarch.rpm: RPM v3.0 bin noarch broadcom-wl-6.30.223.271-3.fc27

But on the f27 machine, running the same file command, I get

broadcom-wl-6.30.223.271-3.fc27.noarch.rpm: data

I copied the file over multiple times.

on the fc20 machine, running the file command on the rpm package I copied to the thumb drive,
I get:
$ file broadcom-wl-6.30.223.271-3.fc27.noarch.rpm: RPM v3.0 bin noarch broadcom-wl-6.30.223.271-3.fc27

However, if I eject the thumb drive by umount and then eject, and reinsert and remount (on the fc20 machine),
I run the file command on it, and it says it is data.

So, it seems that putting an rpm file on a thumb drive alters it's contents.
I confirm this by running md5sum on the file on the thumb drive, vs the file on the hard drive.
totally different md5 sums.

Perhaps something is indeed wrong with my thumb drive ???

I will retry by obtaining a fresh thumb drive.
