Re: f24 boot fails; need help.

I have three active versions of f24 - the 3 most recent weekly patches. All three fail the same way and drop me into the dracut mode. I didn't know I had a rescue mode until some long-time IT friend suggested it to me last Friday. It wasn't obvious in the grub menu. It actually proved helpful yesterday and today for getting log files out to where I can show them to people trying to help me. The point of accessing /home is to get those log files out to where I can really use them, to where people trying to help me (like you) can fill in the blanks in the commands needed to actually fix the system. I'll also need them logs if, once the system is fixed, a bugzilla should be submitted.

The rdsosreport.txt file does seem to be available only available in the dracut shell; it seems to go away once the dracut shell is exited. I agree: the dracut shell is something different from the rescue mode.

Another PhD student in IT is coming this evening to work with me on this. We'll look at the commands lsblk and "udevadm settle" you've suggested. I hope to post results tomorrow.
