Numerical IP.
A couple of things to check. What happens if you "arping" that IP
address? Also, use the "arp" command to check the arp table to see if
the printer IP address is there. When you try the "arping" command, run
tcpdump on the other computer to see if it can see the arp broadcast
requests.
