Take this site/feed. You can enter the following in to vlc or another player supporting RTSP. rtsp://freja.hiof.no:1935/rtplive/_definst_/hessdalen03.stream Note that is it a non-standard port, 1935. If you connect you'll see it is a ski resort in Norway. Better connect before the sun goes down. :-) Anyway..... To see what happens with telnet.... You should get the same when connecting with your IP camera using port 554.
