I'm guessing you must be using the Gnome classic layout if you have a
utilities group somewhere. But in that case, it's still easily
available. I do have the terminal in my favourites, but I almost never
click it because it's easier to hit the logo button and type
"ter<enter". I don't even need to touch the mouse. Why do you consider
that hidden anyway? It is a utility and if you really want it as a
favourite, it's easy to put it there.

Unlikely. There are a lot of non-technical users of Fedora. At a
school I support, I have done well over a hundred Fedora installs for
teachers and students and only 1 teacher and a few students would have
any idea what to do with the terminal. I've also installed it for
family and friends and maybe 1 of those would be able to make any use of
the terminal.
Surely the #1 use case of Fedora on the desktop IS the terminal?
I don't read email in the terminal, I don't access web sites in the
terminal, I don't IRC in the terminal, etc. But I do have over 20
terminal tabs open.
