I don't know how to help at this point, but I see you are receiving lots of other help. It's possible that Ed has hit the nail on the head, and it is the proprietary Nvidia driver causing the problem. Did liveusb-creator ever work with the Nvidia driver as you have it set up now (in an earlier Fedora)?
