May just be coincidence, or maybe...

A couple of days ago you were advised to enable "akmods-
shutdown.service". I stopped using that one since I noticed a "stop
job" slowdown with it.

For myself I just keep:

>systemctl -a | grep akmods
 
akmods.service                                                         
                   loaded    active   exited    Builds and install new
kmods from akmod packages
