Re: application to listen to on-line broadcasts? [SOLVED]

Good morning,

I'm now thinking that for the long term, I'm probably better off waiting for chromium to become available in Fedora. A concern is that wikipedia implies that code for flash-like functionality is not included in chromium. So for the short term, I'm back to flash.

I am almost certain that 2-3 years ago, I installed flash from the adobe web site. But it never worked. A short while ago, I tried "dnf info flash" to see if I have it, and if so, what version. I must be mis-understanding the dnf man page. I got this:

bash.2[~]: dnf info flash
Fedora 23 - x86_64 3.5 MB/s | 43 MB 00:12 RPM Fusion for Fedora 23 - Free 511 kB/s | 457 kB 00:00 RPM Fusion for Fedora 23 - Nonfree - Updates 207 kB/s | 54 kB 00:00 RPM Fusion for Fedora 23 - Free - Updates 350 kB/s | 160 kB 00:00 RPM Fusion for Fedora 23 - Nonfree 336 kB/s | 156 kB 00:00 Fedora 23 - x86_64 - Updates 7.6 MB/s | 24 MB 00:03
Last metadata expiration check: 0:00:07 ago on Wed Jul 27 09:31:01 2016.
Error: No matching Packages to list
bash.3[~]:

First, how do I determine whether or not I already have flash, and if so, which version?

Second, If I don't already have flash, what's the best way to get the right flash? And then what do I need to do so Firefox launches it when, for example, I want to see a flash video in the yahoo finance web site? (and then there's those National Weather Service RADAR loops!)

Third, what did "dnf info flash" actually do? Do I now have a bunch of files that I should delete? If yes, where are they?

Thank-you for your help.
Bill.

(p.s. This is one of those rare cases where I wish I could change the title or topic of this thread!)
