You're welcome.  It is really a pain when something works just fine
for one person and not for another.

FWIW, I'm testing F22 and also tried emacs with GNOME/gdm and
KDE/sddm and no issues.  I don't recall you're mentioning your
desktop and display manager.

Desktop is XFCE installed with yum immediately after a normal
Gnome install from the live DVD.
