If you do install Skype (which I did using the Local Package Factory,
"lpf skype"), you'll need to be sure that 32 bit versions of some of the
audio libraries are installed.  The Skype rpm doesn't load them
automatically during installation, nor does Skype complain about their
absence; the audio just doesn't work.  I needed these:
	pulseaudio-libs-5.0-7.fc20.i686
        alsa-plugins-pulseaudio-1.0.27-2.fc20.i686
        alsa-lib-1.0.27.2-2.fc20.i686
