There used to be options to (a) use the existing partitions and (b) not
reformat the partitions, which I believe means don't install filesystem.
But it has been a very long time since I did a Fedora install.
Is there a reason you want everything on /? (And therefore lots more inodes
than the default?)
Usually the easy way to arrange this stuff is to make distinct partitions
(eg for storing /home, /app, /opt) as you like. They can be added later, and
set up with whatever filesystems parameters you like.
In particular, this can mean you can reinstall later, and only scrub / (and
/usr if separate), leaving the existing extra partitions alone.
