Not sure if it's relevant but I'm running F20 on a new thinkpad
W540 with no issues, they seem to have very similar hardware, just
stay away from the 7260 intel wireless cards
I concur. We have 3 T430s for our mechanical and embedded engineers
running F20 without problems. But, the first one we purchased had one
of the 7260 cards and it was just a joke. Ended up shipping it back
and ordering one without that card. (I think the new ones have
Broadcom cards, I'm not certain now, it's been a while since I
configured them.)
I considered sending mine back as well but one of the hardware guys we
work with at one of our clients showed me how to replace the wireless
chip on a laptop. It's DEAD EASY... so I ordered a 6235 series chip
(should be here today). Meanwhile I simply blacklisted the driver for
the built in 7260 and added a USB wireless device - works like a charm
