 I don't know what is so difficult to understand.  What is being shown, in the first screen,  is the configuration of the Network Manager GUI and what info will potentially be displayed in the status for a given connection.  Not all values will be available for a given connection type.  For example, one "Details to Show" is "Access Point (SSID)" which will certainly not be shown for a wired connection.
