There seem to be two proprietary Scrabble programs, one
in which you play against the computer, and one in which you play
against a remote friend. (I don't play Scrabble.)
You might want to check out "Words With Friends", it runs in a browser. I don't use it, but my wife keeps a few games going all the time. Might require Facebook, not sure.

It is not packed just because of authors lazines to pack depndences :(
