Allegedly, on or about 06 November 2013, Joe Zeff sent: > I'm beginning to think that the problem was started by complaints from > one or more offense thieves. (That's a person who takes offense when > none was offered.) This was followed up by heavy-handed moderation by > one or more moderators who not only didn't have the time to do the job > correctly, but were too eager to reject posts that didn't meet their > unreasonable standards. And, I can remember posts from other members > on this list that used far more offensive language against him than he > ever used, and almost nobody objected. Do you really think they'd bother to moderate someone who hadn't done something to deserve it? Do you really think that they'd go through the continual effort to keep on moderating them, rather than relax it after a while, if the person didn't keep on doing whatever it was? He got a blunt response, from a moderator, on this list in public, after his recent, "goodbye cruel world," message. That he'd been told what he had to do, and refused to. The ball was *always* in his court. And other people shouldn't have to go out of their way, at all, not in any small amount, to have to avoid abuse. He chose to do what he did, and chose to keep on doing it. -- [tim@localhost ~]$ uname -rsvp Linux 3.9.10-100.fc17.x86_64 #1 SMP Sun Jul 14 01:31:27 UTC 2013 x86_64 All mail to my mailbox is automatically deleted, there is no point trying to privately email me, I will only read messages posted to the public lists.
