Can you convert a HDMI port to a USB port with a adapter cable ?
What are you trying to do? If you are trying to use a USB output to
drive a HDMI input, then you are talking about a USB video "card"
with a HDMI output. You will have to see if the adapter you want to
use will work with Linux.

Mikkel

And maybe he is thinking of USB HDMI-CEC adapter. :)

What I was thinking about was a adapter I could connect USB-2 devices.

Thanks for the responds
Which categories of USB devices?
"USB" is an Universal standard,
however "HDMI" is highly specialized one; audio&video with some extensions.
I hope you understand that it is not just about the wires and
connectors, but also the circuits behind them.

poma

Yes, I'm learning a lot about HDMI.
