Hi, On a newly installed Fedora 19 system I changed /etc/locale.conf to LANG="en_US.iso88591" but when I log in with my regular user, after a reboot, I still see UTF-8 as my character-encoding (output of "locale"). It seems GDM is setting it before I log in (that's what I've found on the net so far) but can't find a way around it. How can I specify the character-encoding for my main regular user? All I seem, within GNOME, are references to countries & languages (in the regional settings) but nothing specific for the character-set.
