Under 'Plain Text Messages', there is an option to change the colour for
'When displaying quoted plain text messages'
Yes, and under Plain Text Messages:

Style Italic
Size Bigger
Color White
But the quoted links are still dark blue.
There must be something I can change in about:config but I hesitate to
use trial and error there.
