HOWEVER, if it's a server AND it's not just a personal thing, then you need to justify to your employer the time it takes to upgrade for each release, as well as the potential down time. That's why the business servers I run are running CentOS. When CentOS 6 came out, I justified the cost of running one month where the CentOS 5 VPS was up and I migrated content to a new CentOS 6 VPS.
