I can't use 3.7 as it does not work w/ my radeon card, sadly.
I am reading instruction about fedup:

Can I have some issue w/ 3.6 kernel?
I have no idea how to get to correctly working video after fedup is through with
your system, but you can probably get working well enough in the vesa driver to
install the vendor driver from rpmfusion by using one or both of these tricks:
- invert the modeset. If the boot line says "nomodeset" take it out, if it
doesn't, put it in.
- change the x driver to the vesa driver. You may have to add "vga=ask" to
select a working resolution.
If you're running GNOME you might install a simpler window manager which doesn't
try to be cool. I have used xfce or mate in some cases with success.
My experience with the stock kernel driver is that the developers lack specs or
test hardware to avoid fixing one thing without breaking another, so every
driver upgrade is a thrill ride.
