There's not enough reward for most people, no. That's not to say that

skills and low self-esteem needed to do something like this just for
bragging rights, but the odds are much lower than they are in the
Windows world where the probable payoff is also much higher.
While the payoff for being able to exploit Windows is probably higher,
there's definitely motivation for some ass to be able to trash Linux
just as easily (to them) as Windows.
Just watch the comments on this list, from time to time, when someone
points out that Mac isn't immune. There's a lot of "see!, "nyah!" and
so on...
Which is sad....becasue if there's one thing I've noticed reading and
being a part of this forum is: a lot of people here have some SERIOUS
skills when it comes to using Linux, and the Terminal, I'd be willing to
wager that most of the "a$$e$" that would attempt to hack some of these
people's machines would be HIGHLY disappointed because of the security
measures they probably have in place. I myself and feeling "proud" of
myself because I JUST figured out how to get my ClamAV to get
"freshclam" updates!...(LOVING this "Beesu" thing!) I commented out what
needed to be commented out and now not only is my GUI up-to-date...but
so are my virus definition files! Gottal love Google!
