Surely you're not serious? Do you really think people bother to do so?
Most don't, even less would know that they should. That's evidenced by
the massive numbers of infected computers.

I should have clarified: I meant that most people who use Linux aren't
as naive as the Windows community...and THOSE are the ones who wouldn't
go about clicking on things all willy-nilly!
I think you have to remember that we're getting more and more Windows
users using Linux, too, these days. Not because they're computer geeks
who want something more suited to their hacking (I mean that in the good
experimental use of the term), but because they're after something free,
cheap, or just to play with for the hell of it. In my opinion, that's
what made Ubuntu take off, it's aimed at the Windows user with the
Windows mindset (mostly working out of the box, don't care about being
un-free, click on everything until it works...).
As a former Windows user I can certainly understand the wanting to get
something for "free" but (at least for me!) it was more a thirst..if you
will for something "more" than what Microsoft offered, I have no
problems with Windows when it comes to corporations using it for their
business needs, and being a Desktop Support technician I "see" Windows
all day...(2000's and XP's...and 7's....oh my!...LoL!) But for my home
usage it just wasn't mentally stimulating enough....and I jumped into
Linux feet first with no knowledge of what I was doing....(I have
nightmare stories of having to constantly try again with it...because of
not knowing about the "swap" partition! LoL!) But I can see a current
Windows user wanting to get something free...only because the prices for
MS OS'es are kinda steep. In regards to clicking on everything until it
works....well my sister installed Ubuntu a while back.,...(version
10.04) and because she couldn't get a grasp of the "Workspace" features
and Unity she "scrapped the entire thing, she's only recent;y returning
to it because.....like me.....she's intrigued by something that
WORKS...but is different! I guess it takes all kinds huh?..
