A random thing you run under GNOME 3 is not meant with "GNOME 3
application"; just those things like Documents and so on.
Sorry about my ignorance. GNOME application is only one with prefix "gnome- " in the name?
When I use XFCE previously listed applications work as expected. Maybe they heaven't support for GNOME. I don't look in their source code yet.
