I think the error is that the good libgcc_s.so.1 provided by yum is being overridden by a specific version somewhere else (/usr/src/misc/gopenmol/gOpenMol-3.00/lib/libgcc_s.so.1 ???) Maybe you are running something which has bundled (old) libraries and it is messing with LD_LIBRARY_PATH (possibly in a wrapper script). Hmmm, I just had a look at http://www.csc.fi/english/pages/g0penMol/Downloads/ and it says "contains gcc libraries".
