And yes, it is possible. Just don't try to use a binary compiled for
another OS, instead compile a version for the one you have.
I compiled:
gmp-5.0.5-3.fc16.x86_64.rpm
but when I try to install it with rpm it says that it is confliting
with
gmp-1:4.3.2-5.fc16.x86_64
How can I solve this issue?
