The people that wrote the OS (operating system) and that maintain it
wrote the script that you are a afraid to run. The one that will
probably fix what you broke. The people that maintain the packages that
you have installed also wrote the system that this uses wrote those scripts.

Really? The developers that created the OS system that you are using and
the process to maintain it and updated. And you are afraid of them? Really.

Then your only option appears to to reinstall from scratch. Which will
to certainly loose everything instead of maybe fixing your system.

Enjoy your self broken system that you refuse to try to repair.
