I use ddclient to update my dynamic IP address on the free DynDNS service, but it seems to have stopped working. I only noticed when my host name stopped being resolved correctly, so it could have happened a while back but the IP assignment hadn't changed so it passed under the radar. On running it by hand I get the following in /var/log/messages: Apr 23 18:32:27 bree dbus[970]: [system] Rejected send message, 2 matched rules; type="method_call", sender=":1.3672" (uid=500 pid=17906 comm="systemctl restart ddclient.target ") interface="org.freedesktop.systemd1.Manager" member="RestartUnit" error name="(unset)" requested_reply="0" destination="org.freedesktop.systemd1" (uid=0 pid=1 comm="/sbin/init ") Apr 23 18:32:27 bree dbus-daemon[970]: dbus[970]: [system] Rejected send message, 2 matched rules; type="method_call", sender=":1.3672" (uid=500 pid=17906 comm="systemctl restart ddclient.target ") interface="org.freedesktop.systemd1.Manager" member="RestartUnit" error name="(unset)" requested_reply="0" destination="org.freedesktop.systemd1" (uid=0 pid=1 comm="/sbin/init ") Apr 23 18:36:10 bree systemd[1]: PID file /var/run/ddclient/ddclient.pid not readable (yet?) after start.
