I tried this and it does something. The power switch light starts
flashing, but pushing it does not restart the system. Holding it down
for a minute does not result in a cold boot. So far, I have had to pull
the power and battery to reset stuff so it would boot. I looked in
/var/log/messages, and don't know what to look for to see whsat is
happening....
