I don't think that you'll have compatibility problems with any ebook
readers; probably all of them look like pen drives (USB mass storage
device, or whatever) to Linux, though you're safer with ones that have
an SD Card slot. But the 6'' devices are, in my experience, pretty
useless for pdfs that can not or should not be "reflown", that is,
those that need to look exactly like they do on paper. I've never seen
an IMF report (I never cared for horror :-)) but if they have tables
in them, you'll probably be frustrated to no end. Google for people's
experiences with pdfs on, say, Kindle.
