If you are talking about luks stuff, then you can set some things when the
device is created (using the luksFormat cryptsetup command). Unless you really
know what you are doing or don't care about security because you are just
playing, you shouldn't fool around with this.

I don't think there is support for reencrypting the device once it has been
set up. You'd have to copy data somewhere, reinitialize the device and copy
the data back.
