Andrew, first off you should sort out why you're getting kernel oopses. That's just bad in any case. I'd look at /var/log/messages and dmesg and look for anything regarding your DVD/CD drive. I can't recall if you mentioned that he could manually mount a data CD/DVD. If you can't, then there's something much more basically wrong with your system. If you _can_ do a manual mount, try creating a new desktop user account, log in as that user and see if an automount works. This would isolate whether the problem is system-wide or just with your account. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- - Rick Stevens, Systems Engineer, C2 Hosting ricks@xxxxxxxx - - AIM/Skype: therps2 ICQ: 22643734 Yahoo: origrps2 - - - - Millihelen, adj: The amount of beauty required to launch one ship. - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- -- users mailing list users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe or change subscription options: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/users Guidelines: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines
