I've read the previous posts about this topic, and with the firewall
disabled
thru the FC-11 Firewall Configuration Tool, I was able to "ssh
user@localuser -p 8888".
Previously I changed the port in the sshd_config file and restarted sshd.
These are my questions:
1. Does the Firewall Configuration Tool modify a file? Which one?
2. Can I change the sshd port number via the Firewall Configuration
Tool? NB, can
someone specify all the instructions for this, when I tried it I was
unable to select a
service.
Not sure if you are asking about the firewall change or the ssh port change. The
sshd port is set either from the command line or in /etc/ssh/sshd.conf. The
firewall tool can be used to just add a trusted port for the new port selected.
