FORMAT. Like their standard sized SD and SDHC counterparts there are micro-SD and micro-SDHC cards. SD cards have up to 2 GB memory while SDHC have capacities in the range of 4 - 32 GB. Mechanical adapters can enable micro cards to be plugged into SD readers, but the adapters do not accommodate format changes. Contrary to what the SD Association says about compatibility and interoperability older SD readers are not able to interface with the higher capacity media. When you purchase a reader or media you need to make sure that they are compatible. Note: SDXC is coming out.
