Yes, I know it is based on proprietary code. Lets not get into that.
Its still missing.

I make this post in case the powers that be don't realize its missing.
Please double-check - I have both kernel 2.6.27.19-170.2.35.fc10 and
the corresponding kmod-nvidia module running on my system with no
issues.

The kmod-nvidia modules (at least the ones I know) are hosted by RPM
Fusion (http://rmfusion.org). A quick check of their repository shows
they are indeed available for all 170.2.35 kernel versions (i386, PAE,
x86_64). They show as having been posted on 2-24-09.

You might need to clear your yum cache (yum clean all) and try again.
Give that a shot and let us know...

No joy. Results below.

Well, according to the website I see this for i386
http://download1.rpmfusion.org/nonfree/fedora/updates/10/i386/repoview/index.html:
# 24-Feb-2009: kmod-nvidia-2.6.27.19-170.2.35.fc10.i686-180.29-1.fc10.1.i686

And this for x86_64
http://download1.rpmfusion.org/nonfree/fedora/updates/10/x86_64/repoview/index.html:

# 24-Feb-2009: kmod-nvidia-2.6.27.19-170.2.35.fc10.x86_64-180.29-1.fc10.1.x86_64

Sure as heck looks like they're there to me.
