For years people complained about a perceived lack of progress in
"Linux graphics". Now progress is being made, it's bad? APIs are being
updated to allow better control of devices, and to accommodate newer
hardware which really doesn't fit the mould of VLB framebuffers with
1MB of RAM ... :o)

It's not being "broken" by Fedora; I think you'll find that the X.org
project has made changes, we are packaging them and *guess what* X.org
is *publicly available* so people can see these changes and
accommodate them.
