Mount cifs share on a netapp filer

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

hi,

i have some problems with a cifs share on our netapp (fas2050) filer.

i can mount the share without any problems.

//filer/INSTALL on /mnt/net/filer/install type cifs (rw,mand)
//filer/IT on /mnt/net/filer/it type cifs (rw,mand)

with the following options:

//filer/INSTALL /mnt/net/filer/install cifs auto,credentials=/root/.smbcredentials,uid=500,gid=500 1 1

after that i can read an write files without problems (using vim)

if i try to edit a txt file with gedit, it hangs after i click the save button.

with openoffice i always get the following error message if i click the save button.

Error saving the document foo: Error creating object. Could not create backup copy.

If i push the button a second time it works...

If i mount the shares via gnome (Connect to Server...) it works without any problems.

does anyone have a solution?

regards,
 patrick
