that's why...fedora packages don't carry non-free stuff like
gstreamer-plugins-ugly

if you configure livna, you're good to go

if you are going to rely upon 'unofficial fedora FAQ' you probably would
want to use their yum setup (which is vastly different than a standard
install) if you actually want their instructions to work.
