One thing they could probably add to the documentation is that you
can use other key servers besides pgp.mit.edu - it may take a bit
longer for the key to be available on the MIT keyserver, but it will
get there. I have registered a few keys over the years using the
CLI, and it isn't that hard.(I use both a perminate key, and time
limited ones.)
