i've never noticed this process before, and it may have come along when i recently installed vlc, but npviewer.bin: $ locate npviewer.bin /usr/lib/nspluginwrapper/npviewer.bin has a nasty habit of sucking up gobs of CPU. according to top, it can be using anywhere from 25-45% of the CPU if i'm just browsing a web page with an embedded youtube video. mind you, i'm not even *watching* the video, there's just one embedded in the page somwehere, and a chunk of my CPU goes bye bye. is this normal? is anyone else seeing this? rday -- ======================================================================== Robert P.
