I am trying to get LTSP 4.2 working with this F8 x86_64 setup, but haven't managed to get a gdm display up on my terminal. I just get the infamous grey screen with a black X in the center. In the process of investigating this problem, I tried this from another "real" computer on my network: X :1 -query 192.168.0.2 It's my understanding that I should then see my gdm login screen. However, I got the same grey screen with the X that I see on my terminal. Therefore, I don't think I have a problem with LTSP as such; it's a problem with remote X sessions. This is what I saw on the console: X Window System Version 1.3.0 Release Date: 19 April 2007 X Protocol Version 11, Revision 0, Release 1.3 Build Operating System: Fedora Core 7 Red Hat, Inc. What's wrong here? My remote X can't find a font server that it's expecting? Or something else? Most importantly, how can I fix it? -- MELVILLE THEATRE ~ Melville Sask ~ http://www.melvilletheatre.com -- fedora-list mailing list fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list
