Actually - I found the any-any patch is not needed. The issue (from
VMware forums) is a problem with Workstation 6.0.2 not liking to
co-exist with KVM/Qemu on F8. Options are to either remove the
Virtualization option from F8 via Add / Remove Software or to downgrade
to Workstation 6.0.1.

I tried it both ways and both work. I wound up sticking with not using
KVM and running 6.0.2 for now. Hopefully a 6.0.3 update will fix this so
they will live side by side again.

I didn't realize there is a 6.0.2 update out there, and I'm downloading it now. I keep using the "check for updates" feature in Help in Workstation 6.0.0 and it always told me no updates are available.
